Many people are familiar with the concept of recipes, especially in the context of cooking, baking, or knitting. In the early 14th century, the codex of the Norwegian king Magnús Hákonarson’s lawbook was being cited (1238-1280) by Jón Einarsson, who in the spring of 1280 brought the book from Magnús to Iceland, but in the following year it was taken up by the Icelandic parliament.
